Through economic circumstances and a complete lack of T-9. I have to engage and thus take full advantage of the opportunity. I love it and in a sense get off on it. Nuances, subtlety and presence allow for a greater chance to engage on a more positive level. I love talking with people glad you feel the same way .

Weeeellll… I’m kind of biased, because I met Gradon through social media. But it has more value on top of that, since I’ve met many other friends, connections and clients through using social media tools like Facebook and Twitter, etc.

But! I make a habit of staying very “in the moment” with friends and family, including at any sort of social media event. A tweet or two, maybe, but not to the exclusion of a conversation, and not to interrupt a moment. I might bring out my Blackberry once an hour, or less. My parents don’t know what Twitter is, nor do they care… as with the vast majority of my friends and family.

Social media shouldn’t cancel out social graces, which means putting people first, online or offline.
