Ten things you may or may not know about me:

  1. I love to plan events that connect people together. I founded and manage NHTweetUp and for the past 3 years have been organizing regular TweetUp and MeetUp events in New England such as the BurritUp, CruiseUp, TweetUp Idol and many, many more!
  2. I am a serial networker (thus the name of this blog) which means I get out there….as much as possible. I love to meet new people and be inspired by what they are doing
  3. I am the Corporate Communications Manager for a software company and love it!
  4. I love karaoke which is why I started TweetUp Idol 
  5. I kind of really love burritos. Come on…its the perfect food in a tortilla!
  6. I am New England native and not really fond of the cold weather, but I do love the snow – especially after a big storm. Beautiful!
  7. I have two bachelors degrees. One in theatre arts and the other in marketing. After realizing I wasn’t going to make it off of $50 per week doing theatre, I got my butt back in school and got my second degree in two years – thank goodness I did.
  8. I am a single mother of two girls. They are both my joy and my source of daily frustration
  9. My parent’s have owned and run a party and costume store in Concord, NH for the past 30 years called Ballard’s (my maiden name). They also own an ice cream stand that I spent my summers managing and eating at while in high school and college. The retail store just closed it’s doors after 30 years on New Year’s Eve 2011.
  10. I am a very shy person…really.
